Great news!
Early Bird rates have been extended until
April 30.
You now have more time to save on registration for this summer’s Swing West Jazz Camp.
Feedback has let us know that many of you still wish to register and attend camp but have discovered that accommodation has mostly sold out. We recently received word that Sorrento Centre is able to add more space for tent sites, no RVs but allowing for campers and camper vans. We also are working on adding options for “near-by” accommodations in the Sorrento area.
Please reach out to info@swingwestjazzsociety.org
or Sorrento Centre and we will do our best to help.
Information arrives daily, so don’t give up! We don’t want you to miss out!
Now that there are more accommodation opportunities and you can still get the Early Bird discount, grab this chance to get the lowest rate possible on your registration! Sign up today!"

Meals
Your registration confirmation email will include a link to sign up for a meal plan at Sorrento Centre. Each person in your group needs to sign up for meals if they wish. If you want to buy the meal plan, payment must be done at least three weeks prior to camp. There are options on the Sorrento Centre website to choose a vegetarian option or to note special dietary needs.
Sorrento Centre offers the following meal option:
Full Meal Package: $312 + GST (includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner from Monday Breakfast to Saturday Breakfast)
New: The Sunday evening Welcome BBQ is optional ($28/person) and must be registered in advance during registration. The BBQ is not part of the Full Meal Package. The BBQ begins at 6:30 pm.
Accommodations*
Sorrento Centre offers a variety of options for accommodation including lodge rooms, cabanas, tent sites, RV sites and some small group cabins. Accommodation is handled by Sorrento Centre. 2026 Rates can be found here: www.sorrentocentre.ca/rates/ High Season rates apply (middle column). These rates are per unit. More than one person can occupy, however an extra fee of $15 per person will be charged for three or more people in single rooms. Be prepared with your choices when registering.

*Rooms can sell out quickly but don't let that discourage you. There are nearby accommodations off site as well as plenty of tent sites and RV sites. The reception/registrar at Sorrento Centre can provide you with information about this, including contacts for RV rentals (brought in, set up, removed for you). You might also enjoy a new "glamping" experience. Large tent rentals may also be readily available. Don't hesitate to call the helpful folks at Sorrento Centre.
Before You Register: What You Need To Know
Registration by email will not be possible on the first day of registration (Jan 20). However, from Jan 21 until July 3, you will be able to email Sorrento Centre to let them know you would like to come to camp. They will be happy to contact you for details (Don’t forget to give them your phone number!)
To Register Groups* Who Are Sharing Accommodation
If you are registering as a group: one member of the group will register all of you and will be responsible for the first payment. After that, you can make subsequent payments (for meals or the balance of tuition) separately as individuals or the registrant can make those payments for the group. Don't hesitate to call Sorrento Centre to make these arrangements.
Before you start, this is what you will need to know for each person in your group:
• The date of arrival and departure;
• contact information;
• email address;
• choice of early morning seminar;
• instructor’s name;
• preferred accommodation
* Groups defined: Frequently several people will agree to share ahead of time; these are the groups we hope to register as a unit. Shared lodge rooms between two-four are a group. Sometimes one person will select accommodation that can sleep more than one, planning to add roommates but not sure who yet. Those additional participants can be added later by calling Sorrento Centre to explain you are being added to the group in room/cabana number ___. The person who booked the room needs to send confirmation that someone is to be added to the accommodation.
RVS
If you require an RV site, you will also need to know the size of the RV and your vehicle. Don’t forget to register your pet too!
Registration Information for Singles
If you are not planning to share accommodation, you will register exactly as a group would.
If you would like to share accommodation you can let the folks at Sorrento Centre know that you are willing to share with one or more guests. You can also ask that you be added to the wait list.
New in 2026
Seminar Course selection: Before you register, please review the seminar offerings on the Faculty and Programs page of the website. https://www.swingwestjazzsociety.org/faculty-and-programs-2026. Decide which week long series class (morning “core” class) you plan to enroll in. You will be asked to indicate your choice during registration.
There will be an opportunity to change your mind after hearing the seminar leaders’ presentations at Orientation. The information is requested for planning, but these selections are not “set in stone”.
