Please consider a donation to help keep us alive!

The Society was formed with no money and no resources. To date, all startup costs have been assumed by individual members of the Board. Costs have included:

  • BC Society registration,

  • purchasing a domain,

  • purchasing a website,

  • hiring a bookkeeper,

  • subscribing to QuickBooks,  

  • setting up a financial institution, and

  • assuming the responsibility for annual audit and charges for maintaining all of these items​.

 

Presently, our total annual obligation is $4,500. Provision for this, we hope, will come from annual membership contributions.  Without you, we have no resources!

SWJS is applying for charitable status through CRA and unfortunately this is taking time! Soon you will be able to use donations to SWJS as tax deductible. We apologize but encourage you to help us with our intitial costs of forming the Society anyway!
